One of these drawings came from illustrations Ila McAfee did forKatherine Lester's Historic Costume, 1925. Several others are done in McAfee'sstyle, and probably come from other early costume texts for which she was illustrator.Presumably these works passed into public domain some time ago, and should be useful forweb art on historic costume pages. Another good copyright expired image is this headdressfrom Speltz' Styles of Ornament, 1904. Click small version for larger image:
